In questa tesi verrà esposto il lavoro mirato alla progettazione di componenti estetiche che andranno a sostituire le parti originali di una Moto Guzzi in modo da conferirle uno stile più accattivante ed un assetto da corsa (cosiddetto assetto racer). Il tutto parte da un processo di reverse engineering, seguito da una modellazione tridimensionale mediante potenti software di CAD parametrico di ultima generazione. A tal proposito, di seguito verranno elencate tutte le soluzioni atte a rendere questo progetto accessibile a chiunque voglia modificare il proprio motociclo, a prescindere dalle proprie competenze in fatto di meccanica. Infatti, l’assemblaggio avviene attraverso dei semplici innesti assicurati attraverso l’uso di speciali viti rapide. Peraltro, non è previsto l’uso di alcuna vite o bullone, ed inoltre, non vi sarà alcuna modifica strutturale così da rendere il processo di restyling reversibile. Questo è un progetto mirato all’”easy to use” e all’adattamento in più telai, così da poter soddisfare il maggior numero possibile di motociclisti che desiderano personalizzare (customizzare nel gergo tecnico) la propria moto.

In this thesis, we will exhibit the work aimed at designing aesthetic components that will replace the original parts of a Moto Guzzi so as to give a more attractive style racing trim (the so-called set-racer). It started with reverse engineering process, followed by a modelling using powerful three-dimensional CAD parametric software. In this regard, the following will be listed all the solutions to make this project accessible to anyone who wants to change their motorcycle, regardless of their skills in terms of mechanics. In fact, the assembly takes place through the simple grafts insured through the use of special drywall screws. Moreover, there is no use of screws or bolts, and besides, there will be no structural change so as to make reversible restyling process. This is a project aimed at "easy to use" and adaptation in more frames, so you can satisfy the greatest possible number of motorcyclists want to customize (customize in technical jargon) their bike.
